The front oil seal is located in the flange in front of the oil pump and can be replaced without removing the engine, but the timing belt must be removed. To remove the oil seal, screw two self-tapping screws into the oil seal and then pull out the oil seal with a screwdriver, as described for the rear oil seal.
Lubricate the lips of the new seal with universal grease and its outer surface with motor oil. Press the new oil seal flush, avoiding deformation.
