Removal



1. Remove the ground wire from the battery.

2. Drain the cooling system.

3. On some models, remove the air filter.

4. Loosen the clamps and remove the hoses from the thermostat.

5. Unscrew the bolts and remove the thermostat cover.

5. Unscrew the bolts and remove the thermostat cover.


6. Remove the thermostat together with the round gasket.



Examination



1. Place completely (hanging on a thread) thermostat in a vessel with water.

2. Heat the water, while constantly measuring the temperature. When the water temperature reaches the temperature of the beginning of the thermostat opening, the thermostat valve should begin to open and fully open when the temperature of the full opening of the thermostat is reached.

3. The thermostat opening temperatures are given in subsection 3.1.1, subsection 3.2.1, subsection 3.3.1.

Installation



Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
