If stopping the engine is not possible or the engine cannot be started (no fuel in the injectors), then you should check the electrical supply circuit of the valve, as well as the resistance of its electromagnet.
1. Remove the valve (key 8.0117 AE for electrically controlled Bosch valves should be used).
2. Measure the resistance of the electromagnet (about 8 ohms). If the measured resistance value does not match the above, the valve must be replaced.
3. Install the valve, fitted with a new O-ring, and tighten to 15 Nm (Roto Diesel) or 20 Nm (Bosch).
