Adjusting the idle speed of the Bosch pump

1 – flow support screw,

1 – flow support screw,
2 – idle speed support screw,
k = 5–6 mm

Adjusting the flow and idle speed with increased speed (bosch pump)

3 – lever,

3 – lever,
4 – idle thrust with increased speed,
5 – idle speed support screw with increased speed,
A – plate 1 mm thick

The engine must be warmed up, the idle thrust with increased speed must be free (gap k = 5–6 mm).

Idle speed adjustment

1. Loosen the flow rate support screw (1) a few turns (see figure Adjusting the idle speed of the Bosch pump).

2. Using the idle speed screw (2), set the engine speed to 750–800 rpm.

Flow control

1. Install the plate (A) (see figure Adjustment of flow and idle speed with increased idle speed (bosch pump)) 1 mm thick between the lever (3) and the idle speed support screw with increased speed (1) (see figure Adjusting the idle speed of the Bosch pump).

2. Using the flow rate support screw (1), set the engine speed to 20–30 rpm higher than the idle speed.

Adjusting the idle speed with increased speed

1. Connect the high-speed idle linkage (4) (see figure Adjusting the flow rate and high-speed idle speed (bosch pump)) with a support screw (5).

2. By changing the position of the support screw (5), set the speed to 950±50 rpm.
