Installation of a diesel engine (Peugeot 405)

To install the engine, follow the steps in reverse order to its removal, and follow the following instructions.

1. Replace:
  • self-locking nuts;
  • clips that cannot be removed;
  • drive shaft sealing rings (in the gearbox housing).

2. Adjust the tension of the power steering servo pump drive belt.

3. Install the drive shafts.

4. Place the car on its wheels and connect the stabilizer connectors to the arms.

5. Fill the gearbox and engine with oil.

6. Remove air from the fuel system.

7. Fill the cooling system with coolant and bleed air from the cooling system.
