Installing a reinforced sealing ring with a corresponding protrusion

Since May 1988, the axle shaft sealing rings in the drive housing have been protected by a "plug-in cover" which prevents the sealing edge of the rings from being cut during installation of the drive axle shafts.

To replace the sealing rings, it is necessary to use the appropriate mounting shanks, which allow preserving the mounting protrusions of the rings (modified).

Left side



Sealing ring diameter 40 mm.

Protrusion: 1 mm.

Shank: 7.0317 T.

Right side



Sealing ring diameter 30 mm.

Protrusion: 1.5 mm.

Shank: 7.0317 U.
