The actions for removing and installing the drive axle are not labor-intensive. Tightening torques should be observed.

Removal and installation the drive shaft



1. Raise the appropriate side of the vehicle and drain the oil from the axle.

2. Remove the wheel, remove the cotter pin and the protective cover of the drive shaft nut.

3. Using a lever, secure the hub and loosen the drive shaft nut.

4. Unscrew the drive shaft nut.

4. Unscrew the drive shaft nut.


5. Unscrew the bearing housing mounting bolts (indicated by arrows) from the inside of the lever.

6. Remove the hub from the drive shaft.

7. Installation involves performing the steps in reverse order to the removal process, with the drive shaft seal ring in the drive axle housing being replaced first. The final step is to fill the axle with oil.
