Left drive shaft
1. Install the drive shaft into the differential, aligning the splines of the drive shaft with the grooves of the side gears of the differential. Insert the drive shaft into the gearbox until it stops.
2. Install the outer end of the drive shaft into the hub.
3. Connect the lower swivel to the lever.
4. Install a new swivel nut and tighten to the specified torque. Lubricate the inside and threads of the drive shaft mounting nut with clean engine oil, thread it onto the drive shaft and tighten to the specified torque. Check that the hub rotates freely, then install the lock washer and secure it with the R-shaped cotter pin.
5. Connect anti-roll bar to lower control arm, and tighten to specified torque.
6. Install the ABS sensor.
7. Install the wheel, then lower the vehicle to the ground and finally tighten the bolts to the specified torque.
8. Check the oil level in the gearbox and top up if necessary.
Right drive shaft
1. Check that the intermediate bearing rotates easily and evenly and that there is no play between the outer ring and the inner ring.
2. Lightly grease the intermediate bearing outer race and the inner lug for the dust cover.
3. Insert the inner end of the shaft through the intermediate bearing mounting hanger and install the dust cover on the drive shaft.
4. Align the internal splines of the drive shaft with the grooves of the differential side gear, the intermediate bearing with the suspension of the installation and insert the drive shaft into the gearbox until it stops.
5. Install the outer CV joint into the hub.
6. Check that the intermediate bearing is correctly installed, then turn the bolts 90°and secure them in this position with the nuts. Close the intermediate bearing with a dust cover.
7. Connect the lower swivel to the lever.
8. Install a new swivel nut and tighten to the specified torque. Lubricate the inside and threads of the drive shaft mounting nut with clean engine oil, thread it onto the drive shaft and tighten to the specified torque. Check that the hub rotates freely, then install the lock washer and fix it with a spring R-shaped cotter pin.
9. Connect anti-roll bar to lower control arm, and tighten to specified torque.
10. Install the ABS sensor.
11. Install the wheel, then lower the vehicle to the ground and finally tighten the bolts to the specified torque.
12. Check the oil level in the gearbox and top up if necessary.
13. Install bottom cover (equipment in some versions).
