Maintenance operations are the same as for petrol engine vehicles, except for the following differences.

1. Loosen the clamp and remove the inlet duct from the filter housing cover.

2. On 2.1L engine models, disconnect the coolant hoses (photo on the left) and ventilation (photo on the right) from the air filter cover.



3. On 1.9L engine models, remove the accelerator cable from the air cleaner cover.

4. Unscrew the air filter cover mounting screws.

5. Lift the cover and remove the filter element.

6. Wipe the air filter housing and cover.

7. Install the new filter element in the filter housing. Close the cover and screw it on with screws.

8. Install the ventilation and cooling hoses and the accelerator cable in their places. Install the intake duct and secure with clamps.
