The injection timing must be adjusted after the position of the fuel pump has been changed.
The dynamic injection timing control equipment, based on the conversion of the pressure pulse in the injector pipeline into an electrical signal, is only available at the Peugeot station.
Static injection timing gives good results if done carefully. When performing this adjustment on a Bosch fuel pump, a dial indicator with appropriate adapters is necessary. When performing this work on a Lucas pump, a special tool is required.
