Attention! When working on the fuel system, it is necessary to first relieve the pressure in the system.


1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.

2. Place a suitable container under the area where the system will be disconnected.

3. Slowly loosen the fuel line union nut to relieve fuel system pressure. An alternative method to relieve fuel system pressure is to remove the fuel pump fuse or fuel pump relay and run the engine at idle until it stalls.

4. After completing work on the fuel system, reinstall the fuse or relay that was previously removed.
