Attention! When working on the fuel system, it is necessary to first relieve the pressure in the system.


Removal



1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.

2. Remove the rear seat.

3. Use a pry bar to remove the plastic floor covering to access the pump.

4. Remove the electrical connector from the fuel pump (2) (3 – feed hose, 4 – return hose).


4. Remove the electrical connector from the fuel pump (2) (3 – feed hose, 4 – return hose).

5. Mark the hoses for identification, then loosen the clamps, remove the hoses and plug them.

6. Make marks on the fuel tank, pump cover and ring, then unscrew the ring by turning it counterclockwise.

7. Lift the pump cover, then carefully remove the fuel pump and rubber O-ring.

8. The fuel pump is supplied as a non-separable unit as a spare part. Therefore, if it fails, it is replaced completely.

Installation



1. Carefully insert the pump into the fuel tank so that the mark on the pump cap, fuel tank and ring are aligned. Secure the pump securely with the ring.

2. Connect the fuel hoses to the fuel pump in accordance with the previously applied markings and secure them with clamps.

3. Connect the electrical connector.



4. Connect the negative battery terminal and start the engine. Check the fuel pump for proper operation and the fuel hose connections.

5. Install the plastic floor covering and rear seat.
