Removal
1. Remove the air filter housing.
2. Remove the center console.
3. In the engine compartment, use a lever to remove the two ball joints (A) of the cable from the selector levers on the gearbox. Remove the two brackets (B) securing the gearbox cable housing.
4. Raise the front of the vehicle and support it on stands.
5. Remove the exhaust system and heat shields.
6. In the car, remove the soundproofing pad and unscrew the bolts securing the lever housing to the floor. Disconnect the cable mounting brackets and remove the lever housing with cables from under the car.
Installation
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal, taking into account the following points:
- check that the soundproofing pad is correctly positioned;
- check that the cables are installed correctly on the selector lever: the 13 mm diameter ball joint is connected to the upper lever, and the 10 mm diameter ball joint is connected to the side lever;
- install heat shields, exhaust system, air filter housing and center console.
