8. Check the bearing surface of the pressure plate for cracks, burns and wear. Disks with an inward deflection of up to 0.5 mm can be reinstalled.
9. Check the flywheel for wear and mechanical damage. Make sure there are no signs of burnout or ribbing.
10. Sand the pressure plate and flywheel with fine-grained sandpaper.
11. Replace oily clutch discs. Also, if there are signs of oil leakage, replace the crankshaft oil seal.
12. Remove the anti-corrosion grease before installing the new pressure plate only from its working surface. Do not remove the grease in any other places, otherwise the service life of the clutch will be significantly reduced.
13. Clean off any corrosion and apply a thin coat of molybdenum grease to the splined joint of the driven disc and also to the gearbox shaft ring gear. Then move the driven clutch disc on the input shaft until the hub moves easily on the shaft.
14. Center the position of the driven disk on the flywheel and pressure plate using a suitable punch or drift, for example, drift "a" 0216-C (see illustration). If the driven disk is not installed in the center of the pressure plate, it will be impossible to start and install the input shaft of the gearbox later. As an auxiliary means for centering, the previous input shaft of the gearbox can be used.

15. Tighten the driven disk mounting bolts to 20 Nm (15 Nm for MG5T manual transmission).
16. Apply a thin coat of Molykote BR2 Plus graphite grease to the release bearing sleeve and to the clutch shaft splines.
Caution! The clutch release bearing is lubricated at the factory with long-life grease. For this reason, the old grease must not be removed and new grease must not be applied.
17. Lubricate the head and both sides of the clutch release fork with multi-purpose grease.
18. Make sure that the release bearing retaining ring 2 is properly positioned in the corresponding groove and is covered by the plastic ring 3 (see illustration).

19. Apply a small amount of Rustilo DWX33 grease to the gearbox input shaft splines.
20. Install the clutch release bearing on the guide 4 of the gearbox input shaft (see illustration).

Attention! It is recommended to replace the release bearing with a new one at the same time as replacing the pressure and driven disks.
21. Install the clutch release fork.
22. Install the gearbox (see the relevant chapter).
