Central lock
The remote control can be used to simultaneously close or open all doors, the tailgate and the fuel filler cap.
The infrared beam from the remote control must be directed at the signal receiver located above the interior rearview mirror. Opening or locking the locks occurs with a single short press on the remote control button. If the central lock does not work, the procedure should be repeated, holding the remote control at a different angle relative to the infrared signal receiver. The reason for the failure may be an obstacle between the remote control and the signal receiver.
If one of the doors is closed incorrectly, the central lock will not work.
Locking the doors using a remote control
In this case, the remote control with an integrated key has two buttons A and B.
Button A is used to lock and open the doors (see above).
Button B is used to lock the doors. To lock the doors, press button B after the doors have been closed using button A. The indicated buttons must be pressed sequentially to ensure that the lock is activated.
The remote control does not work or works poorly if the signal is sent to the receiver through the front window.
When you press the button on the remote control, the red indicator light comes on. This is a signal that the battery in the remote control has sufficient charge.
If the remote control is lost or fails, the doors can be opened using the key.
Caution! Do not engage the door lock if there is a passenger remaining in the vehicle. Since in this case the door cannot be opened from the inside, this situation is unsafe for the passenger.
Important! Write down the numbers of the keys, the remote control, and the codes for the electronic starter lock of the radio receiver. The key number is in the form of a barcode on the key sticker. If you lose your key, your PEUGEOT dealer can quickly produce a new key or remote control.
