Central locking
The remote control can close or open all doors, the tailgate and the fuel filler cap at the same time.
The infrared beam from the remote control must be aimed at the signal receiver located above the interior rearview mirror. Opening or locking of locks happens at single short pressing the button of the remote control. If the central lock does not work, then the procedure should be repeated, holding the remote control at a different angle relative to the infrared signal receiver. The reason for the failure may be an obstacle between the remote control and the signal receiver.
If one of the doors is closed incorrectly, then the central lock does not work.
Locking locks with the remote control
In this case, the remote control with built-in key has two buttons A and B.
Button A is used to lock and open the doors (see above).
Button B locks the doors. To lock the doors, press button B after the doors are closed with button A. These buttons must be pressed sequentially to ensure that the lock is activated.
The remote control does not work or works poorly if the signal to the receiver is fed through the front glass.
When you press the button on the remote control, the red control lamp lights up. This is a signal that the battery in the remote control has sufficient charge.
If the remote control is lost or fails, the doors can be opened with the key.
Attention! Do not turn on the door lock if there is a passenger in the cabin. Due to the fact that in this case the door cannot be opened from the inside, this situation is unsafe for the passenger.
Attention! Write down the numbers of the keys, the remote control, as well as the codes for the electronic starter lock of the radio. The key number is made in the form of a barcode on the key sticker. If a key is lost, a PEUGEOT dealer can promptly make a new key or remote control.
