Removal
1. Disconnect the ground cable terminal from the negative battery terminal.
2. Open the sliding door and install suitable supports under it 1 (see illustration).

3. Unscrew bolts 1 on the rear door guide (see illustration).

4. Remove the cover that covers the lower door guide and unscrew the bolts 2 (see illustration).

5. Remove the cover on the door pillar and unscrew the bolt 3 that secures the upper support arm 4 (see illustration).

6. Remove the door.
The door is installed in the reverse order of its removal.

7. Remove the door trim and the insulating gasket underneath.
8. Unscrew the bolts 1 that secure the door lock (see illustration).

9. Drill out rivet 2 of the inner door handle mount (see illustration).

10. Disconnect rod 3 and drill out rivets 4 of the lock fastening (see illustration 10.9).
11. Drill out the rivets 5 of the outer door handle cover (see illustration).

12. Disconnect handle 6 from the door lock (see illustration).

13. Disconnect the handle from the bracket 7 on the outside by prying it off with a screwdriver (see illustration).

14. Drill out rivet 8 of the bracket mount (see illustration).

The door lock is installed in the reverse order of its removal.
