Fuel filler cap sensor — general information (Peugeot Eurovans 807)

The sensor on the filler cap is designed to inform the additive tank control unit that the fuel tank is open for refueling. There is a magnet on the filler cap that attracts and closes the sensor contacts (see illustration 10.0).



The sensor signal generates a changing resistance, registered at contact 2 of the sensor. After the cap is screwed on and the contacts are closed, the sensor resistance is 150,000 ohms, and with the cap removed, it is 15 ohms.
