Removal the tank



1. Jack up the car and place it on jack stands.

2. Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.

Caution! The battery should not be disconnected earlier than 30 seconds after the engine has stopped. This is due to the fact that the engine control unit, as well as the control units of other systems, have a learning function and this time is necessary for them to remember the acquired information.


3. Disconnect the ventilation pipe 1 from the tank with the additive, as well as hoses 2 and 3 (see illustration).

Caution: Seal the openings with suitable plugs to prevent contaminants from entering the tank and pipes.


4. Disconnect plug 4 (see illustration 7.3).

5. Unscrew the three bolts 5 that secure the tank and remove it (see illustration 7.3).

The tank is installed in the reverse order of its removal.

6. Disconnect plug 1 and disconnect hoses 2 and 3 (see illustration).

7. Unscrew the pump ring nut with a 4-point trunnion wrench (see illustration). Tightening torque of the nut is 35-40 Nm.

8. Remove the pump 5 BiyiecTe with its sealing gasket 6 from the tank (see illustration). the gasket must be replaced with a new one.

The pump is installed in the reverse order of its removal.
