While rear suspension components such as torsion bars, trailing arms, and stabilizer bar can be removed independently of the rear axle assembly, it is recommended to have some special tools to successfully complete this job.
Due to the complexity of this procedure and the need to use special tools to accurately set the suspension geometry during installation, the removal and installation of individual rear suspension components is beyond the competence of the amateur mechanic and should be carried out by a Peugeot/Citroen dealer.
The procedures for removing and installing the rear shock absorbers and the entire rear suspension assembly are described in paragraphs respectively 14 and 15.
