Removal and installation the hub (Peugeot 405)

1. Raise the appropriate side of the vehicle.

2. Remove the wheel, remove the cotter pin and the locking element of the drive axle nut.

3. Secure the hub with a lever (it is recommended to use the 6310 T device) and loosen the axle shaft nut.

4. Unscrew the caliper mounting bolts.

5. Remove the brake disc and caliper.

6. Unscrew the axle shaft nut.

7. Unscrew the bearing housing bolts from the inside of the lever.

8. Without removing the axle shaft from the drive axle (risk of oil leakage), remove the hub from the axle shaft.

9. During installation, lubricate the hub bolts with Loctite and tighten them and the hub nuts to the required torques (see subsection 11.2.1).
