Roof mounted antenna
The antenna can simply be unscrewed from the base. To remove the included antenna, follow these steps:
1. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery.
2. Remove sun visors from overhead console.
3. Remove the backlight switch from the console to access the two screws. Disconnect the connector and remove the backlight switch.
4. Remove the backlight cover from the console to access the screw. Disconnect the connector and remove the backlight.
5. Using the lever, remove the locking plate from the console, and also remove the sunroof switch from the console.
6. Unscrew the two screws securing the remote control, then lower the remote control from the ceiling.
7. Remove the insulator with a lever (indicated by an arrow) from the base of the antenna.
8. Unscrew the fastening nut, disconnect the antenna wire and remove the antenna from the roof.
9. Installation is made in sequence, return to removal.
Antenna mounted on the rear fender (sedan models)
1. Fully retract the antenna.
2. Working in the luggage compartment, remove the trim on the left side of the trunk.
3. Disconnect antenna (A) and grounding (IN) wires from the base of the antenna. On models with an electrically driven antenna, disconnect the electrical connector from the antenna motor.
4. Unscrew the lower antenna mounting bolt.
5. At the top of the antenna, unscrew the round nut that secures the antenna to the top of the rear fender.
6. Remove sealing cap.
7. Remove the antenna from inside the luggage compartment.
8. Installation is made in sequence, return to removal.
Antenna mounted on the rear fender (combi models)
The antenna is removed as on Sedan cars (see higher), but the top end of the antenna is secured with an O-ring instead of a round nut.
1. Disconnect the antenna drive electrical connector.
2. Unscrew the antenna mounting bolt.
3. When removing the antenna, simply slide the antenna down through the sealing ring.
