Airbag system (Peugeot 405)

Vehicles equipped with a driver's side airbag have the word "AIRBAG" on the center of the steering wheel. Vehicles equipped with a front passenger side airbag have the word "AIRBAG" on the top of the instrument panel. The safety system includes an airbag with gas generators, a control unit with a crash sensor, and hazard warning lights in the center of the steering wheel.

Caution: Before performing any actions on the security system, remove the negative terminal from the battery and wait at least 10 minutes.

Caution: The airbag must not be exposed to temperatures above 100°C.

Caution: Do not allow solvents or cleaning agents to come into contact with the airbag.
