- disconnect the ground wire from the battery;
- insulate the wire connected to the negative battery terminal to avoid accidentally connecting the wire;
- wait 5 minutes before doing any work (airbag computer power reserve discharge);
- disconnect the airbag computer electrical connector.
Caution: Do not remove the airbag computer under any circumstances while the electrical connector is connected.
Caution! The area around the airbags and seat belts must be clear of any foreign objects.
Sequence of actions when turning on the central airbag system:
- with the ignition off, connect the airbag computer electrical connector;
- connect the ground wire to the battery;
- from the driver's door, turn on the ignition without occupying the space intended for the deployment of the driver's airbag;
- check the airbag malfunction indicator lights to ensure the system is working properly.
