Replacing the acceleration sensor (Peugeot 307)

To remove the airbag acceleration sensor:
  • turn off the central airbag system;
  • remove the seat fasteners;
  • if present, disconnect the seat electrical connectors (depending on the configuration option);
  • fold the seat back onto the rear seat cushion, having first protected it;
  • release the front door sill trim from the clips;
  • on five-door vehicles, release the rear door sill trim and the lower part of the B-pillar trim from the clips;
  • on three-door vehicles, release the rear panel from its clips;

  • remove the carpet to access the acceleration sensor 1 (figure 9.65);

  • unscrew bolt 2 securing acceleration sensor 3 (figure 9.66);
  • remove the acceleration sensor and disconnect the electrical connector 1 from it;
  • remove the acceleration sensor.

Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal, taking into account the following:
  • tighten the acceleration sensor mounting bolt to a torque of 8.5 N·m;
  • turn on the central airbag system;
  • initiate all electronic systems.
