- turn off the central airbag system;
- remove the seat fasteners;
- if present, disconnect the seat electrical connectors (depending on the configuration option);
- fold the seat back onto the rear seat cushion, having first protected it;
- release the front door sill trim from the clips;
- on five-door vehicles, release the rear door sill trim and the lower part of the B-pillar trim from the clips;
- on three-door vehicles, release the rear panel from its clips;

- remove the carpet to access the acceleration sensor 1 (figure 9.65);

- unscrew bolt 2 securing acceleration sensor 3 (figure 9.66);
- remove the acceleration sensor and disconnect the electrical connector 1 from it;
- remove the acceleration sensor.
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal, taking into account the following:
- tighten the acceleration sensor mounting bolt to a torque of 8.5 N·m;
- turn on the central airbag system;
- initiate all electronic systems.
