When performing any work on a vehicle equipped with airbags, when moving and storing the airbag, follow the rules outlined below.
Airbag Safety Precautions
1. Do not disconnect the battery while the engine is running.
2. Do not disconnect the battery terminal when there are people inside the car.
3. When performing any work on the security system or performing electric welding on the vehicle, deactivate the security system.
4. If the safety warning light is on, contact a service station immediately.
5. Only transport the airbag separately with the bag up.
6. When transporting, do not put your hands on the airbag.
7. Don't drop the airbag.
8. Do not disassemble the airbag.
9. Avoid contact with solvents or cleaning agents on the airbag.
10. Do not expose the airbag to temperatures above 90°C.
11. Do not allow the airbag to come into contact with an open flame.
12. Do not install a defective or damaged airbag on a vehicle.
Attention! After each deployment of the centralized airbag and seat belt system, carefully check all wiring harnesses, as well as the electrical connectors of the system. Repair of junctions of electrical wires is strictly prohibited for all circuits of pyrotechnic elements (chain from computer to pyrotechnic element).
