To ensure the safety of passengers, the car is equipped with airbags. The driver's airbag is installed in the center of the steering wheel. The front passenger airbag is mounted on the top of the dashboard opposite the passenger seat. The safety system is activated when the ignition is turned on and is activated by a deceleration sensor included in the control unit. If there is a fault in the airbag system, a warning lamp in the instrument cluster lights up.

When performing any work on a vehicle equipped with airbags, or when moving or storing the airbag, follow the rules below.

Safety precautions when using airbags

1. Do not disconnect the battery while the engine is running.

2. Do not disconnect the battery terminal when there are people inside the vehicle.

3. When performing any work on the security system or electric welding on the vehicle, deactivate the security system.

4. If the security system warning light comes on, contact a service station immediately.

5. Transport the airbag only separately with the bag facing upwards.

6. Do not place your hands on the airbag during transportation.

7. Do not throw the airbag.

8. Do not disassemble the airbag.

9. Avoid contact of the airbag with solvents or cleaning agents.

10. Do not expose the airbag to temperatures exceeding 90°C.

11. Do not allow the airbag to come into contact with open flame.

12. Do not install an airbag on a vehicle that is defective or damaged.

Caution! After each deployment of the central airbag and seat belt system, carefully check all wiring harnesses and electrical connectors of the system. Repair of electrical wire connections is strictly prohibited for all pyrotechnic circuits (chain from the computer to the pyrotechnic element).
