Removing
1. Remove the fuel line without disconnecting the hoses.
2. Remove the brake booster vacuum hose.
3. Remove throttle body.
4. Remove ignition coils.
5. Remove the auxiliary air intake hose from the manifold.
6. Remove the bolt from the starter mount.
7. Unscrew the oil pipe support bolt.
8. Unscrew the manifold mounting bolts and two 5 mm bolts. A long wrench is required to unscrew the 5 mm bolts.
9. Remove manifold.
Bosch LU2-jetronic, Motronic and Magneti Mareilli systems
Removing
The procedure for removing the manifold is similar to that described above, with the following points:
- vacuum and coolant hoses and electrical wiring vary by model. When disconnecting any pipes, hoses, or wires, their location is taken into account to ensure correct installation in its original place;
- ignore references to the air intake and starter mount;
- any removed gaskets must be replaced.
