The catalytic converter is a device that requires attention and care during the operation of the car.
Use only unleaded gasoline.
Refuel promptly as soon as the minimum fuel level warning light in the tank lights up: insufficient fuel can cause engine malfunction.
It is forbidden to use any additives to engine oil - this can lead to serious damage and failure of the catalyst. Use only fuel additives recommended by Peugeot.
If possible, frequent, one after another, engine starts at low temperatures should be avoided.
Do not force the engine speed.
Do not increase engine speed immediately before switching off the ignition.
Avoid parking on flammable debris (dry leaves or grass), because engine exhaust gases are hot.
If you experience difficulty starting the engine, do not continue unsuccessful attempts to start the engine. Also, do not start the engine by towing or pushing, as unburned fuel can damage the catalytic converter.
If there are interruptions in the ignition system or loss of engine power, then reduce speed and contact a service station as soon as possible.
If increased noise is heard, then check the condition of the exhaust system.
