Right crankshaft seal
1. Remove the crankshaft pulley and timing belt. Measure the installation depth of the seal.
2. Drill two small holes in the seal at diametrically opposite ends of the seal. Insert two self-tapping screws into the drilled holes in the seal and, using pliers, pull out the seal ring from the screw heads.
3. Clean the seal seat.
4. Lubricate the lips of the new sealing ring with clean engine oil and install it on the crankshaft. The sealing lips of the new O-ring must face inwards.
5. Using an appropriate drift, press the o-ring into the seat to a depth equal to the installation depth of the old o-ring.
6. Remove all traces of engine oil and install the crankshaft pulley.
Left crankshaft seal
7. Remove flywheel. Measure the installation depth of the O-ring in the socket.
