Removal
1. To improve access to the switch, remove the air cleaner housing and intake ducts.
2. Set the selector lever to the "N" position.
3. Mark the position of the selector lever relative to the switch.
4. Using a lever, remove the cable from the selector lever on the multifunction switch.
5. Trace the wiring from the switch to the connector and disconnect the connector.
6. Remove the shifter wiring harness from the support bracket on the transmission.
7. Unscrew the lever mounting nut and remove the selector lever from the switch shaft.
8. Unscrew the switch and remove it from the gearbox housing.

Installation
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
