Replacing the multifunction switch (Peugeot 307)

To remove the multifunction switch:
  • turn off the ignition and disconnect the ground wire from the battery;
  • set the selector lever to the "N" position;
  • remove the air filter housing;

  • remove the locking rod 6 (figure 5.59), gear selector lever;
  • use a screwdriver blade to remove the stop 1 from the cable sheath;
  • remove the 4th gear selection cable from the gearbox and move it to the side;
  • unscrew bolts 3 and 5;
  • disconnect the 12-pin green electrical connector 2;
  • remove the multifunction switch.

Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal, taking into account the following:
  • check the condition of the sealing gasket on the gearbox housing;
  • install a multi-function switch;
  • tighten bolts 3 to 10 Nm;
  • tighten bolt 5 of the multi-function switch to a torque of 10 N·m and locking rod 6 to a torque of 15 N·m;
  • connect the ground wire to the battery.
