- turn off the ignition and disconnect the ground wire from the battery;
- set the selector lever to the "N" position;
- remove the air filter housing;

- remove the locking rod 6 (figure 5.59), gear selector lever;
- use a screwdriver blade to remove the stop 1 from the cable sheath;
- remove the 4th gear selection cable from the gearbox and move it to the side;
- unscrew bolts 3 and 5;
- disconnect the 12-pin green electrical connector 2;
- remove the multifunction switch.
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal, taking into account the following:
- check the condition of the sealing gasket on the gearbox housing;
- install a multi-function switch;
- tighten bolts 3 to 10 Nm;
- tighten bolt 5 of the multi-function switch to a torque of 10 N·m and locking rod 6 to a torque of 15 N·m;
- connect the ground wire to the battery.
