Brake booster vacuum — removal and installation (Peugeot 605)

1. Remove the distributor cap and disconnect its wiring harness.

2. Remove the runner 1 and the bracket 2 of the plug (see illustration).

3. Disconnect the brake hoses 3 from the brake master cylinder (see illustration 6.2).

4. Unscrew the bolts 5 (see illustration 6.2).

6. Release the master brake cylinder from its mountings and move it 6 (see illustration 6.5) away from the work site.

7. Disconnect the low pressure hose 7 from the brake booster (see illustration 6.5).

8. Remove the windshield wiper arms and the fairing grille by unscrewing the upper 8 and lower 9 bolts securing it (see illustrations 6.8 and 6.8a).

9. Remove the lower trim panel under the instrument panel on the driver's side.

10. Remove the brake pedal from the axle 10 (see illustration).

11. Remove the brake booster from the bracket to gain access to the clip 11, then remove the clip (see illustration).

12. Remove the protective cover 12 (see illustration).

13. Unscrew four bolts 13 and remove bracket 14 (see illustration 6.13),

The brake booster is installed in the reverse order of removal, taking into account the following:
