Attention! Draining of used fluid should be done with the engine not running. To replenish the volume and fill, use only fresh fluid, preventing contamination from entering the hydraulic drive.


Draining hydraulic fluid



1. Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal from the battery.

2. Unscrew the filler cap of the power steering reservoir.

3. Disconnect the hydraulic fluid supply line 1 (see illustration).

4. Slowly turn the steering wheel from lock to lock (see arrows in the illustration), let the liquid drain.

Filling hydraulic fluid



5. Connect the hydraulic fluid supply hose 1 (see illustration 17.3). The tightening torque of the nut is 25 Nm.

6. Fill the power steering reservoir with fresh hydraulic fluid.

7. Slowly turn the steering wheel from lock to lock. Then bring the fluid level in the reservoir to the maximum mark.

8. Start the engine and let it idle.

9. Bleed the power steering hydraulic system by turning the steering wheel several times in both directions.

10. Add fluid to the reservoir as its level drops.
