Attention! Take all measures to prevent even the smallest contaminants from entering the hydraulic system. Use only fresh hydraulic fluid to top up and fill the power steering hydraulic circuit. The waste fluid must be drained when the engine is not running.
To change fluid:
- remove the decorative engine cover;

- remove cover 1 (pic. 7.32) from the reservoir of the hydraulic system of the power steering;
Pic. 7.8. The location of the bolts of the rear fastening of the sub-frame (1) and jack (2), supporting the subframe
- unscrew the bolts 1 of the rear fastening of the sub-frame (see fig. 7.8);
- on vehicles with DW10TD and DW10ATED engines, disconnect the exhaust system suspension cushions and the connecting element with the underframe;
Pic. 7.33. Bolt location (1) underframe mountings
- remove bolt 1 (pic. 7.33) and lower the sub-frame by 30 mm;
Pic. 7.10. Location of the heat shield (1)
- remove heat shield 1 (see fig. 7.10);
- loosen the clamps and disconnect the hydraulic circuit hoses near the valve;
Pic. 7.11. Bolt location (1) fastening brackets
- remove bolt 1 (see fig. 7.11) fastening brackets;
Pic. 7.12. Using a screwdriver to pry the bracket (1) valve
- use a screwdriver blade to move the bracket 1 (see fig. 7.12) valve. Be careful not to damage the valve;
- lower the ends of the hoses into the container;
- slowly turn the steering wheel left and right from lock to lock;
- wait until the oil is completely drained;
Pic. 7.34. Location of new O-rings (1) on branch pipes
- install new sealing rings on the nozzles 1 (pic. 7.34);
- install the pipes in place and secure them with a bracket and bolt 1 (see fig. 7.11), tightening it with a torque of 20 Nm;
- carry out further installation in the reverse order of removal, taking into account the following:
- tighten bolts 1 (see fig. 7.33) fixing the sub-frame with a torque of 110 Nm;
- Pour fluid into the power steering reservoir up to the mark «Max» on the level indicator fixed on the cover;
- start the engine and slowly turn the steering wheel 10 times from lock to lock;
- add fluid to the power steering reservoir to the mark «Max».
To bleed air from the power steering hydraulic circuit:
- let the engine run at idle speed for 3 minutes without turning the steering wheel;
- add liquid as its level in the reservoir decreases;
- remove the air by turning the steering wheel several times in each direction;
- add fluid as the level in the reservoir decreases.
