- turn off the ignition and disconnect the ground wire from the battery;
- remove the cap from the windshield washer reservoir;
- lift the car;
- drain the fluid from the hydraulic circuit of the power steering;
- remove the right front wheel;
- remove the right front wheel arch mudguard;

- drain the fluid from the windshield washer reservoir 2, for which remove the electric pump 3 (figure 7.30);
- unscrew the 1 fastening nut and remove the windshield washer reservoir;

- unscrew the connecting nut 3 (figure 7.31), loosen clamp 6 and disconnect pipes from power steering pump 5;
- close the holes with plastic plugs;
- disconnect the electrical connectors from the pump;
- unscrew the lower bolt 4 and upper nuts 1 of the fastening and remove the power steering pump 5.
Caution! When installing the power steering pump, install a new washer under bolt 4 (see Figure 7.31) lower pump mount and clamp 6. Check the correct position of the upper windshield washer fluid reservoir mounting bracket.
Install the electric power steering pump unit in the reverse order of removal, taking into account the following:
- tighten the union nut 3 to a torque of 90 Nm;
- tighten the lower power steering pump mounting bolt to 17 N·m;
- tighten the upper power steering pump mounting nuts to 23 N·m;
- tighten the windshield washer reservoir mounting nut to a torque of 5 Nm;
- pour fluid into the windshield washer reservoir;
- fill the power steering hydraulic circuit with fresh working fluid and bleed the air from it;
- initialize computers.
