Cars with 6-cylinder petrol engine ES9J4
1. Remove the accessory drive belt (see the relevant chapter).
2. Drain the hydraulic fluid.
3. Unscrew the bolts 1 (see illustration).

4. Unscrew the pipeline fastening nuts 2 using a special key "a", catalog number of which is 0720-F (see illustrations 16.3 and 16.4) and move the pipeline away from the work site. Seal the pipeline openings with suitable plugs.

5. Disconnect the pipeline and move it away from the work site (see illustration 16.3). Seal the pipeline openings with suitable plugs.
6. Unscrew bolts 4. 5, 6 and remove the power steering pump 7 (see illustration 16.3). The tightening torque of the bolts is 25 Nm.
Cars with 3.0L petrol engines
7. Drain the hydraulic fluid.
8. Remove clamps 1 and 2 securing the hydraulic fluid circulation hoses and disconnect the hoses (see illustration).

9. Loosen nuts 4, 5, 6 and 7 (see illustration).

10. Remove the accessory drive belt.
11. Unscrew nuts 6 and 7, washers 8 must be replaced (see illustration 16.9).
12. Remove the power steering pump 10 together with the bracket (see illustration 16.9).
Attention. Adjusting washers 9 must be replaced with new ones.
Cars with 2.0L petrol engines
13. Drain the hydraulic fluid.
14. Remove the protective cover 1 (if provided) (see illustration).

15. Cover the generator with cardboard to prevent damage.
16. Disconnect pipes 2 and 3 (see illustration 16.14). Seal the pipe openings with suitable plugs.
17. Unscrew bolts 4, 5, 6, unscrew nut 7 (see illustration 16.14).
18. Remove the accessory drive belt (see the relevant chapter).
19. Unscrew nuts 6 and 7, remove their sealing washers and disconnect the power steering pump from the cylinder block (see illustration 16.9).
The power steering pump is installed in the reverse order of removal.
Cars with 3.0L petrol engines
20. Install pins 11 and 12 in their seats and secure the pump. The pump belt tension is adjusted by ring 13 (see illustration).

21. Install washers 14, then screw on nuts 4 and 5 (see illustration 16.20).
