Power steering pump unit:

Power steering pump unit:

b - power electrical connector.
.

The electric power steering pump unit supplies the required force based on information from the running engine.

The minimum rotation speed of the power steering pump unit is 1000 rpm.

To optimize the force supplied depending on the engine and vehicle brand, various parameters of the power steering pump unit can be adjusted.

When the vehicle speed is 0 km/h and the steering wheel angular velocity is zero, the force supplied by the electric pump unit is called "reserve force". The electric power steering pump unit can supply different forces depending on the following parameters:
  • car speed (as the vehicle speed increases, the force decreases);
  • speed of rotation of the electric pump unit of the power steering(as the angular velocity of the steering wheel increases, the force increases);
  • lDS power steering fluid temperature.

When the electric pump unit reaches a temperature of 125°C, it switches off automatically.

In case of electronic equipment failure, the electric pump unit uses emergency parameters and goes into emergency mode.
