The steering wheel angle sensor is part of the switching unit under the steering wheel.

The sensor detects the direction of rotation of the steering wheel and its rotation speed. It sends this information to the control units via the CAN IS bus. The sensor is driven by a mechanical device that moves due to the rotation of the steering wheel.
Electrical characteristics
The sensor receives power after the ignition switch ("+" ARS).
When the ignition is turned on, the current consumed by the sensor is less than 150 tA. The sensor has a 6-pin blue connector.

Calibration of the sensor is necessary in the following cases:
- removal and installation of the steering wheel angle sensor;
- engagement adjustment;
- replacing the dynamic Stabilization system (ESP)unit;
- replacement of the switching unit under the steering wheel;
- working with the steering column or steering column support.
Checking the actuator
During testing, the electric motor of the electric pump module is turned on for 30 seconds and operates at a rotation speed of 3000 rpm.
