Removal
1. Remove the brake disc (see the relevant chapter)
2. Remove the protective cap 1 by prying it with a screwdriver, unscrew the hub nut 2, remove the washer 3 (see illustration).

3. Remove the hub together with the bearing 4 using a universal two- or three-jaw puller "a" (see illustration). The puller jaws are installed around the circumference of the hub, the pressure rod should be located in the middle of the drive shaft tail in the hub so as not to damage the thread.

4. Remove the inner ring 5 of the bearing from the drive shaft end in the hub (see illustration). The jaws of the puller must be positioned so as to grasp the ring by its inner side.

Installation
5. Clean the hub axle and tap the hub with a rubber or plastic hammer until it is firmly seated.

6. Press in bearing 6 of the hub, for which install mandrel "a" of a suitable diameter on the hub axle, then screw on the old hub nut "b" and tighten it until the bearing is completely in place (see illustration).

7. Remove all hardware after installing the hub.
8. Install a new washer 7, screw on a new hub nut 8 (see illustration), having previously lubricated its threads and contact surfaces. Tighten the hub nut with a force of 280 Nm.
9. Secure the hub nut with a cotter pin and hammer in the new protective cap with a wooden hammer.
10. Install the rear brake disc (see the relevant chapter).
