Lighting — Removing and installing light bulbs (Peugeot Eurovans 807)

Checking the lighting condition is a requirement that the driver must perform before every trip. The car should also be equipped with spare light bulbs of different ratings so that if a light bulb fails while on the road, it can be quickly replaced with a new one.

Lighting fixtures have bulbs of different types and different ratings (see illustration 5.0).



The high- and low-beam headlights and fog lights are equipped with 55-watt H7 halogen bulbs, the turn signals with 21-watt P bulbs, the parking lights and license plate lights with 5-watt W bulbs, and the brake lights with 21/5-watt W bulbs. Xenon headlights are also available.

Be sure to install a light bulb of the same rating as the previous one.

Caution! Do not touch the glass bulbs with your fingers. Fingerprints evaporate and then settle on the reflector, causing it to fade. It is best to place a clean napkin on the flask and use cotton gloves. This primarily concerns headlight and fog light bulbs. If, due to carelessness, stains still remain on the lamp bulb, remove them with a clean, lint-free cloth moistened with alcohol.

Diffusers can only be cleaned with a soft, damp cloth.

Caution! Xenon lamps are under pressure and may burst. When replacing them, wear protective glasses and gloves.

Front headlight

1. Open the hood, unscrew the upper 1 and lower 2 mounting bolts, disconnect the plug on the back of the headlight and remove the headlight unit 3 (see illustration).

Replacing outdoor lighting bulbs

Caution! If the light bulb has been in use for a long time, it's possible that the bulb socket has rusted. Therefore, when replacing a light bulb, clean the socket as well.

If the bulbs have a so-called bayonet lock, then to install them you need to press on the bulb and turn it in the socket.

Headlight bulbs

2. Open the hood and unscrew the cover of the corresponding bulb on the back of the headlight (see illustration).



3. Disconnect plug A of the light bulb power wire (see illustration).



4. Press down the spring B holding the bulb and remove the bulb C (see illustration).





5. Insert the new bulb and secure it with the retaining spring.

6. Connect the plug.

7. Screw on the cover of the corresponding headlight.

When replacing a light bulb, the position of the headlight is not disturbed and there is no need to adjust it.

Rear headlight

8. Remove cover A from the trunk, unscrew nuts D, C and D and remove the headlight lens (see illustration).

To replace the rear headlight bulbs, you also need to remove cover A (see illustration 5.8). The rear headlight bulbs have a so-called bayonet lock and to remove and install them, you need to press the bulb and turn it in the socket.

9. Remove the burned-out light bulb and install a new one (see illustration).





Since after replacing the headlights it is necessary to adjust them using the appropriate device, we recommend entrusting this work to the appropriate workshop. The accuracy of headlight adjustment is a traffic safety requirement regulated by law.

Replacing xenon headlight bulbs

10. Disconnect the headlight plug.

Caution! Replace the light bulb only after it has cooled down.

11. Release clamp 1 and disconnect plug 2 (see illustration).



12. Press the wire clamp 3 and remove the bulb 4 (see illustration).
