- Use the correct tow rope; it is inexpensive. The vehicle being towed must have a sign on the rear window indicating that it is being towed (you can turn on the alarm).
- Turn on the ignition on the towed vehicle so that the steering column is not locked and the direction indicators and brake lights work.
- Attach the tow rope only to the towing eyelets provided at the front and rear.
- Be aware that it will take more pedal force than normal to activate the brakes, as the vacuum booster only provides boost when the engine is running. In addition, since the power steering does not work when the engine is off, more than normal force on the steering wheel will be required.
- To avoid jerks, the driver of the towed vehicle must always ensure that the tow rope remains taut.
- Before starting the movement, drivers must discuss the route.
- Move smoothly, at an average speed and maintain a minimum distance. Calculate maneuvers so that there is enough time to slow down at intersections.
