Removal
1. Disconnect the accelerator cable from the pedal as described in previous paragraph.
Right-hand drive models
2. Loosen the nut at the end of the pedal axle, holding the axle with an open-end wrench by the provided chamfers.
3. Remove the pedal assembly with the axle from the support bracket.
4. Inspect the axle for signs of wear or damage and replace it if necessary. The axle is fixed to the pedal using a threaded connection.
Left-hand drive models
5. Unscrew the two nuts and remove the housing cover and the upper bearing of the pedal axle.

6. Remove the pedal from the lower bearing.
7. Inspect the axle bushings for signs of wear - and replace them if necessary.
Installation
8. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal. Apply a small amount of general purpose grease to the pedal axle. Finally, adjust the accelerator cable as described in paragraph 3.
