Note. If hoses are secured with crimp-type clamps or wire clamps, cut and discard them and install with standard worm-drive clamps (screw) clamp or new wire ties.
Removing
Models manufactured before September 2002 with a 1.4L engine
1. Loosen the clip securing the air filter cover to the throttle body (pic. 2.1).
Pic. 2.1. Release the clamp (marked with an arrow) attaching the air filter cover to the throttle body (early models with 1.4 l engine)
2. Disconnect the vent hose on the front side of the air filter cover by releasing the clip (in the presence of) or by pressing on the sides of the quick coupling.
3. Remove the bolt securing the intake air duct to the support bracket on the engine and the two screws securing the intake air duct to the front panel of the body (pic. 2.3).
Pic. 2.3. Remove the bolt (marked with an arrow) fastening the intake air duct to the support bracket (early models 1.4 L)
4. Detach the air cleaner cover from the throttle body while lifting up the air cleaner case to release it from the lower support. Slightly move the block to the side and remove it together with the intake air duct from the engine compartment. Remove the throttle body O-ring from the air cleaner cover.
5. If necessary, the elements of the intake air duct can be separated from each other after cutting the clamps.
Models with 1.6L engine and models after September 2002 with 1.4L engine
6. Loosen the clamp securing the air filter cover to the throttle body (pic. 2.6).
Pic. 2.6. Loosen the clamp securing the air filter cover to the throttle body (later models)
7. Press the sides of the quick coupler and disconnect the engine breather hose from the air cleaner cover (pic. 2.7).
Pic. 2.7. Press the sides of the quick coupler and disconnect the breather hose from the air cleaner cover
8. Turn away a nut of fastening of an inlet air line to the forward panel of a body (pic. 2.8). Remove the air duct from the mounting stud and move it slightly to the side to unhook the additional fixing element.
Pic. 2.8. Loosen the nut (marked with an arrow) attaching the intake air duct to the front panel of the body (later models)
9. Release the plastic retainer securing the air filter housing to the support bracket by turning it 90° (pic. 2.9).
Pic. 2.9. Rotate the plastic retainer 90°to release it (later models)
10. Disconnect the air cleaner cover from the throttle body while lifting up the air cleaner case to release it from the lower support. Slightly move the block to the side and remove it together with the intake air duct from the engine compartment (pic. 2.10, a, b). Remove the throttle body O-ring from the air cleaner cover.

Pic. 2.10, b....and then lift up the air filter to release it from the lower support (later models)
11. If necessary, the air intake duct can be removed from the air filter housing by pulling it outward from the base of the housing.
Installation
12. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal. Ensure that all hoses are properly connected and that all air ducts are correctly installed and securely fastened with appropriate clamps or clamps.
