Removing
1. Disconnect the accelerator cable from the cam on the throttle body or from the accelerator pedal position sensor, and then pull the cable sheath out of the corresponding rubber grommet on the support bracket. Remove the spring clip from the cable sheath (pic. 3.1).

2. Follow the cable along its entire length and sequentially release it from all clamps or collars, noting for yourself how it is divorced.
3. Inside the vehicle, remove the fuse box cover and lower trim section from under the dashboard on the driver's side.
4. Get your hand under the front panel, squeeze the tip of the cable and disconnect the cable from the top of the accelerator pedal. If applicable, remove the baffle grommet mounting clip.
5. Tie a piece of fishing line to the end of the rope.
6. Go to the engine compartment, release the cable grommet from the bulkhead and remove the cable. When the end of the cable appears, untie the fishing line and leave it in place; it can be used to retract the cable during installation.
Installation
7. Tie a line to the end of the rope, then use the line to pull the line through the baffle. When the end of the cable appears, untie the line and connect the cable to the pedal. If applicable, install the baffle grommet clip.
8. Working from the engine room side, properly secure the cable sheath into the grommet on the bulkhead, and then properly route the cable and secure it along its entire length using the appropriate clamps and ties.
9. Pass the cable sheath through the grommet in the support bracket and connect the cable to the throttle cam or accelerator pedal position sensor. Adjust the cable position as described below.
Adjustment
10. Remove the spring clip from the accelerator cable sheath (pic. 3.1). Move the throttle cam or position sensor to the limit position and carefully pull the cable out of the corresponding grommet until the slack is completely eliminated.
11. While holding the cable in this position, install the spring clip into the last open groove in the cable sheath in front of the rubber grommet. After installing the clamp and releasing the cable sheath, the cable should have only a small amount of play.
12. Have an assistant depress the accelerator pedal and check that the throttle cam or position sensor goes to full open and smoothly returns to the limit position.
