Removal
1. The knock sensor is screwed into the cylinder block on its rear side.
2. Fully apply the parking brake. Raise the front of the vehicle and support it securely (see "Lifting and installing the car on supports").
3. Trace the wiring from the sensor to its electrical connector and disconnect the electrical connector, disconnecting the sensor wiring from the main harness.
4. Unscrew the sensor mounting bolt and remove the sensor from the cylinder block.
Installation
5. Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal. Tighten the sensor mounting bolt to the specified torque.
