1. There are no ignition timing marks on the flywheel or crankshaft pulley. The ignition timing is constantly monitored and adjusted by the engine management system's electronic control unit. Nominal values cannot be specified. Therefore, an amateur mechanic has no way to check the ignition.
2. The only way to check the ignition timing is to use special electronic testing equipment connected to the electrical connector of the engine management system diagnostics (for more information, refer to chapter 4A).
