Removing
1. Remove ground wire from battery.
2. Remove steering column covers.
3. Under the steering column, disconnect the electrical connectors from the ignition switch and release the wires from the mounting brackets.
4. Insert the ignition key into the lock and turn until it lines up with the small arrow on the lock frame.
5. Loosen the ignition lock screw.
6. Use a small screwdriver to press the retaining tab and at the same time pull the ignition key out of the housing.
7. Remove the ignition switch by passing the wiring through the steering column tube.
8. To separate the contact group from the lock, perform the following steps.
9. Unscrew two screws (indicated by arrows) from the back of the ignition switch.
10. Remove the back of the ignition switch.
11. Remove the contact group of the ignition switch.
Installation
1. When reinstalling the ignition lock, make sure the ignition key is removed from the lock and turn the wiper switch as far as possible counterclockwise. Check that the tabs on the wiper line up with the fuses in the ignition switch.
2. Further installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
