Fuel injector



Removal



1. Remove the ground wire from the battery.

2. Remove the air filter.

2. Remove the air filter.


3. Remove the injector wiring connector (indicated by the arrow).

4. Unscrew the mounting screw, remove the bracket and remove the injector from the casing together with the O-ring.

Fuel pressure regulator



Removal



1. Remove the ground wire from the battery.

2. Remove the air filter.

3. Mark the position of the regulator housing, unscrew the four mounting screws and remove the housing, spring and diaphragm.

Idle Speed Control Motor



Removal



1. Remove the ground wire from the battery.

2. Remove the bracket and disconnect the connector from the engine.

3. Remove the two screws and remove the idle speed control motor.

Throttle position potentiometer



Removal



1. Remove the ground wire from the battery.

1. Remove the ground wire from the battery.


2. Remove the bracket and disconnect the connector (indicated by the arrow) from the potentiometer.



3. Unscrew the two screws securing the potentiometer and remove it.

Incoming air temperature sensor



The incoming air temperature sensor is screwed into the back of the injector, on the left side of the fuel injector.

Removal



1. Remove the ground wire from the battery.

2. Remove the connector and unscrew the sensor mounting screw and remove the sensor.

3. Unscrew the three screws securing the plastic ring and remove the seal from it.

Injector heating element



The injector heating element is located in front of the injector.

Removal



1. Remove the ground wire from the battery.

2. Remove the air filter.

3. Remove the electrical connector from the intake air temperature sensor.

4. Unscrew the screws and remove the throttle actuator.

5. Unscrew the heating element and remove it from the throttle body.
