Removing
1. Open the hood and ask an assistant to support it. Then, with a pencil or marker, trace around each hinge to mark its position relative to the hood to ensure correct installation.
2. Disconnect the supply pipeline from the right washer nozzle and release this pipeline from the clamps.
3. Turn out bolts of fastening of a cowl to loops on each party. Together with an assistant, carefully remove the hood from the car. Set the hood aside in a safe place.
4. Inspect the hood hinges for signs of wear and play and replace if necessary. Each hinge is attached to the body with two bolts. Apply some multi-purpose grease to the hinges when installing.
Installation and adjustment
5. Together with an assistant, bring the hood to its original position and screw in the bolts. Align the hinges with the marks made during removal and tighten the bolts securely. Connect the washer nozzle pipe.
6. Close the hood and check the correct position of its position relative to adjacent panels. Loosen the hinge bolts if necessary and adjust the hood accordingly. Having achieved the correct position, securely tighten the hinge bolts.
7. Having correctly exposed a cowl, be convinced of correctness of its locking and unlocking. If adjustment is required, loosen the hood lock bolts and adjust the lock position accordingly. Once the lock is working properly, securely tighten the lock bolts.
