Removal
Models produced before September 2002.
1. Open and support the hood.
2. Remove the turn signals as described in chapter 12.
3. Release the outer clips securing the plastic trim below the turn signals on each side.
4. Pull the trim panel outward to release the tab below the headlight, then slide the trim panel away from the center of the vehicle to remove (figure 25.4).

5. Remove two mounting screws on each side (figure 25.5).

6. Lift the grille over the adjustable hood stops and pull it sharply to release the center mounting tabs (figure 25.6, a, b). Remove the grille from the car.

7. Remove the four screws securing the grille along its top edge (figure 25.7).

8. Lift the grille to release the center mounting tab and pins on each side (figure 25.8, a, b). Remove the grille from the car.

Installation
9. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
