Note: Do not operate the air conditioner if you know the system is low on refrigerant, as this may damage the compressor.
1. The only procedure that can be easily performed without releasing the refrigerant is replacing the accessory drive belt (it also serves to drive the compressor), which is described in the chapter 1A or 1B. All other operations should be entrusted to a Peugeot/Citroen dealer or other air conditioning specialists.
2. If necessary, after removing the drive belt, you can unscrew the bolts, remove the compressor and move it to the side without disconnecting the hoses from it.
Caution! Do not attempt to remove refrigerant from the system yourself. Please refer to the precautions in paragraph 11.
